Melanie Brooks
Mel B. Events was born from the love of two distinct things: organization and design. Owner Melanie Brooks has always thought a great wedding planner should have both those skills in equal measure, and has worked to build a team to support these ideas. Melanie is from suburban Detroit and has coordinated events all over Michigan and the Great Lakes Region. In her free time, Melanie can be found hiking and sipping coffee with her partner, Michelle, and their twin daughters, Roxie & Lilly.
Planning & Design
Our clients are often busy professionals who appreciate our dedicated, yet laid back approach to event planning and aesthetic design. They want a team they can trust, one that can channel the unique style and vision of each individual into a cohesive affair that represents the event perfectly. From the initial consultation until the final send off, our clients enjoy the sense of calm and peace we bring to a process that can otherwise be chaotic.
Wedding Management
Our process is a hybrid of Partial Planning and what is often referred to as Day-of Coordination. We set you up for success upon time of booking, providing you with a custom set of tools along with vendor recommendations tailored to your style and budget. We also host a check-in meeting three months out, then partner with you fully one month out to execute the day you've envisioned.
Special Event Management
Our team is extremely experienced and fully adept at a variety of special events that go well beyond weddings. We have planned, designed, and coordinated everything from bar-mitzvahs to corporate galas to church fundraisers - with a few stylish celebrity parties thrown in the mix, as well. There is no event too large or too small for our amazing event planners.
